Neutral Easter topiary in concrete planter ( part 2)

When I finished creating my faux concrete planters in my previous post I couldn’t wait to put something inside of them. In the true spirit of Easter I wanted to do an Easter topiary. I’m going to walk you guys through how I made this really simple neutral Easter topiary.

You will need.....

1. a planter ( I used my faux concrete planters that I created in my last post.)

2. Foam eggs ( I painted mine white and added texture )

3. Floral foam

4. Skewer

5. Spanish moss from the dollar tree

6. Florals/greenery

Step ☝🏽

First I cut the floral foam down to fit into my pot.

Step 2.

Next I covered the foam with a layer of Spanish moss

Step 3

I arranged the eggs onto the skewer in a fun pattern. Then I inserted the skewer into the pot.

Step 4

Add florals/greenery to fill the rest of the pot.

That’s it.

I was short on time this week so I really whipped these up within 10 minutes. I still really love the way they turned out and I still thought it was worth sharing for those of you that just want to add a little bit of Easter decor with minimal effort. these are perfect for someone that doesn’t want to overwhelm their home with too many colors during the holidays. I used plain white eggs because I wanted a neutral look but you could also do this with colorful eggs and colorful florals for a more festive look.

Trash to treasure | dog house makeover on a budget

Back in March right when the world as we know it turned upside down my neighbor threw out an old play house. It was set for the trash. I have had plans to build a dog house for my three dogs ever since I moved into my home 2 years ago. The playhouse was the perfect foundation for a dog house and I had a vision for it. My neighbor was nice enough to let me have the playhouse and to help get it into my yard. I had just received news from my job that we would be out for a 14 day quarantine. And I thought this dog house makeover would be the perfect project to keep me busy. Little did I know my employer would soon change their mind but I still put all my energy into this project on the evenings and weekends for about 3 months. But it was all worth it because now I have a luxury dog house and it cost me less than $100 to make!!! in this post I will walk you through exactly how i made over this dog house on a budget. Before The YouTube video for this project is now live so if you are reading...
